Job Description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client’s logistics challenges.

This position supports import clearance by managing import communications, reviewing invoices and tariff codes, ensuring documentation accuracy, maintaining records, and following established procedures to ensure timely clearance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Monitoring the import mailbox; respond to internal & external stakeholders, and deal with queries timely.
  • Review invoices and assign import tariff & customs procedure codes.
  • Check invoices to ensure all necessary information is present to support an import clearance.
  • Provide import clearance instructions to the party responsible for import clearance.
  • Support classification of import tariff codes.
  • Manage file archive of email communication and documents relating to a shipment’s clearance.
  • Interrogate systems to support investigation.
  • Follow established work instructions, processes, and procedures.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required: close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Expert/Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with proven ability to work in a fast paced and continually changing environment.
  • Ability to work with technical and non technical staff at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.Demonstrates initiative and adaptability.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Education & Experience

  • 2 years experience in import/export processes.

Education – Preferred
