Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and load/unload materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute basic maths calculations for inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
Skills
- Proficient in materials handling with experience in warehouse operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
