Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join a legal firm’s brand new office in South Lanarkshire.
You must have Scottish Law Experience and previously worked within Conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in Property Transactions: Assist with the preparation and management of residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, property deeds, and leases, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties, keeping them informed throughout the process.
- File Management: Manage client files and maintain accurate records, ensuring that all documentation is filed correctly and deadlines are met.
- Land Registry & Registration: Assist with the submission of applications to the Land Registry and ensure compliance with registration processes.
- Transactional Support: Help prepare client accounts, arrange completion statements, and assist in the financial aspects of transactions.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, and managing diaries for conveyancing solicitors.
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar role, ideally within a legal firm or property-focused business.
- Scottish Law Experience.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial property law, including the conveyancing process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
