Contracts Manager, 50,000, Traffic Management, Full Time, Perm

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full delivery lifecycle of multiple traffic management contracts

  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including NEC contracts, variations, and commercial reporting

  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

  • Oversee work schedules, resource planning, and labour deployment across active sites

  • Motivate and lead site supervisors and operational teams to deliver high-performance results

  • Monitor budgets, KPIs, and contract profitability

  • Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, ideally within traffic management, highways, utilities, or civil engineering

  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to manage cross-functional teams

  • Capable of handling multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications:

  • LANTRA Sector Scheme 12 (or equivalent) certification

  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification

  • Experience working in infrastructure, traffic management, or highways maintenance
