Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine
12 month fixed-term, Full Time
Salary: £111,430 – £148,064 pro rata

About the Role

NHS Forth Valley is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the emergency medicine team. This position covers maternity leave and may lead to substantive posts if funding permits. The permanent staff team in the Emergency Department includes 12 Consultants, 4 Emergency Medical Practitioners, and 5 Specialty Doctors who provide senior care and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior emergency medical care and maintain shop floor presence of senior physicians.
  • Enhance consultant delivered care and contribute to the supervision and shop floor training of junior medical staff.
  • Support a nurse led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.
  • Maintain high clinical standards and drive improvement of emergency medical care.

Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration and a licence to practice.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) within 6 months at the time of interview.
