Consultants in Emergency Medicine
Full time or Part time (10 PA, including up to 2 SPA)
Salary Scale – £111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata

Looking for a new and exciting challenge? NHS Forth Valley in the heart of Scotland invites enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the emergency medicine team. The new appointments will join an existing permanent medical staff team of 15 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 3 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 5 Specialty Doctors, providing senior clinical decision making and leadership to the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

Provide senior clinical decision making and leadership within the Emergency Department. Participate in the on site out of hours rota as part of normal job planned activity. Share supervision and shop floor training of junior medical and nursing staff. Offer remote consultant support to a nurse led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital. Engage with the ongoing organisational change, including the new Flow Navigation Hub (FNH) and Urgent Care Centre (UCC), and may have the opportunity for job planned sessions within the new service.

Qualifications

Full GMC registration and a licence to practice. Within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT at the time of interview. Applicants applying under the Portfolio pathway must be entered onto the GMC Specialist Register at the time of application. Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.
