About the role

Community Staff Nurse

Band 5 £34,544 – £43,039 per annum; Plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

36 hours a week, permanent post.

Location

Southside Community Nursing team, based in the Lochs area; covers Lochs and Harris.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care of patients in their homes, community setting or treatment rooms.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enable and empower individuals, families and communities to engage in healthy lifestyles.
  • Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating care to enable individuals to stay in their own homes.

Qualifications & experience

  • Desirable: some experience within a community setting.
  • Newly qualified nurses welcome; training and support will be provided.
  • Flexible working approach required.
  • Car owner with full UK driving licence.
  • May be required to cover other areas of the Western Isles.

Additional requirements

The successful applicant will need to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This role is not eligible for relocation expenses.
