We are looking for two enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurses with Older Adult Mental Health experience to join the Caithness Community Mental Health team based at Town & County Hospital, Wick. The role will involve working with adults over the age of 65 or patients of any age with a memory concern.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes in partnership with clients, families, and carers.
  • Manage ongoing risk and coordinate medication monitoring.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care and other social care services, and refer patients to other services as appropriate.
  • Act as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and supervise students and support workers on occasion.
  • Travel efficiently to undertake the role, using a personal vehicle if required.

Qualifications

  • Registered with the National Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and compliant with the code of conduct.
  • Experience in older adult or community mental health nursing.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel by car to meet role requirements.

There are two permanent posts available totalling 51.4 hours, hours negotiable.
