Overview
NHS Borders invites highly motivated community mental health nurses to join the Scottish Borders Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The role is situated in a rural setting with easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person centred care based on GIRFEC principles.
- Lead by example in maintaining and improving high standards of care and practice.
- Participate in continued professional development and in house training.
- Provide tier 3 multidisciplinary and psychological interventions, and tier 4 intensive community treatment.
- Work closely with Young People’s Units for hospital admissions when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong leadership and clinical skills in community mental health.
- Sound knowledge of current clinical practice.
- Experience within community mental health is advantageous.
Employment Terms
From 1 April 2026, the full time Agenda for Change working week will be reduced to 36 hours with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to maintain pay levels.
