First Achieve’s Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a MIG-MAG Welder to join an established and growing company in the Glasgow region. Our client is an esteemed manufacturer, dedicated to heavy industrial products worldwide.
What’s on Offer:
- Straight to permanent position
- A 19/hr rate
- 37hr work week plus occasional OT
- 5 days per week, Monday to Friday
This role will report directly to the Head of Operations and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team in producing high quality work.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must have:
- A time served, recognised engineering appenticeship
- The ability to read and interpret drawings
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a workshop environment
- Demonstrable MIG/MAG welding experience – previously coded to AWS, ASME IX, ISO, DNV or similar.
- The ability to work under own initiative.
Desirable but not essential experience:
- Hydraulic experience
- Working within a factory environment
- Forklift licence
- Fitting, Conventional turner, Machining Centre and Milling experience
