Main Responsibilities:
- Exterior Body Repairs Remove rust, weld panels, repair dents, and install new body sections on train carriages.
- Interior Overhauls Refit train interiors: flooring, seats, ceilings, and partitions.
- Corrosion Inspection & Repair Identify and fix structural damage caused by corrosion.
- Train Carriage Refurbishment Strip, assess, repair, and reassemble train bodies to meet high engineering standards.
- Tool Operation Use pneumatic and power tools for prep, repairs, and finishing.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance Adhere to rail industry safety standards and precise engineering specifications.
- Team Integration Work closely with other professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Coach Builder Either time-served or with equivalent hands-on experience and certifications.
- Detail-Focused Strong attention to quality, finish, and accurate execution.
- Metalworking Expertise Proficient in panel replacement, metal fabrication, and body repairs.
