JOB TITLE: CNC MILLER, SETTER, OPERATOR – MAZATROL
Location: Irvine
Salary: Very competitive
Hours: 39 hours per week (2-week rotating day/night shifts)
SHIFT PATTERN
- Week 1 – Days
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
- Week 2 – Nights
- Monday: 22:30 – 07:30
- Tuesday – Thursday: 21:30 – 07:30 (finishing Friday morning)
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Irvine. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining components to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in line with company procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program, set and operate CNC milling machines with Mazatrol controls.
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings, following company quality procedures.
- Self-inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance checks on machinery.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation at all times.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Competence in editing and proving out CNC programs.
- Proficient in using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
- Strong understanding of geometrical tolerances.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
- Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with Mazatrol controls is advantageous.
