Job Description
Maxwell Consultancy are working closely with an established Machine shop in Ayrshire who require CNC Machinists – Mazak Integrex. These are full time, permanent positions working in their state of the art workshop.
The business are going from strength to strength. Buying new hi-tech CNC Machinery making vital components for the Oil & Gas & Aerospace industries.
What’s required?
- Time served CNC Machinist or extensive experience as CNC Machinist
- Read and interpret schematic engineer drawings
- Mazak Integrex experience (various models)
- Setting and operating
- Programming & Setup – Translate engineering drawings into precise programs, set cutting speeds, and adjust tool offsets.
- Machine Operation – Load raw materials, operate multi-axis Integrex machines and monitor machining operations.
- Quality Control – Inspect finished parts using micrometers, callipers, and CMM equipment to ensure they meet exact specifications.
- Maintenance – Perform routine troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and keep the work area clean and safe.
- Collaboration -Work with engineers to optimise production processes and reduce material waste.
- Working towards continous improvement methods within the workshop
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Plenty of overtime at enhanced rates – x 2
