Job Description
Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add 2 x CNC Machinists to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Glasgow area.
Shift Pattern:
- Day: Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm, Friday 6am – 1pm
- Back: Monday – Thursday 2pm – 10pm, Friday 2pm – 9pm
- Night: Monday – Thursday 10pm – 6am, Friday 10pm – 5am
Hourly rate: £22.40 (including shift allowance)
Daily Duties –
- Program, set-up, and operate 4 axis horizontal or 5 axis milling machines to produce precision components
- Interpret engineering drawings and specification
- Inspect finished products to meet quality standards
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot/resolve minor machine issues
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams
Candidate Requirements –
- Time-served or relevant engineering qualification
- Programming knowledge e.g. from scratch or machine side with Fanuc controls
- Previous milling experience
