Oncology Physics Department – Edinburgh Cancer Centre – Western General Hospital.
Position
Clinical Technologist (Electronics)
Key Responsibilities
- Routine duties in the oncology physics section, including linear accelerator maintenance, QA and repair.
- Support the routine operation and maintenance of radiotherapy equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of HNC/HND in Electronics.
- Solid understanding of electronic principles and experience working with electronics in a servicing and maintenance role and/or production test environment.
- Less experience and a relevant degree may be considered.
Training
Full training will be given for candidates with limited radiotherapy equipment experience. In-house training programme will also provide the healthcare based competencies needed.
