We are a dynamic team striving to deliver the best integrated MDT care to children and young people living with long term health conditions and their families, based in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and supported by a wide range of mental health specialists.

The post involves offering tailored psychological assessment and intervention, contributing to complex MDT care plans (for life limiting conditions), consultation and staff support through reflective practice groups. The post holder also has the opportunity to work alongside the Child Healthy Weight Service.

Part time hours may be considered and a relocation package may be available.

Responsibilities

  • Offer tailored psychological assessment and intervention.
  • Contribute to complex MDT care plans, including those for life limiting conditions.
  • Provide consultation and support to staff through reflective practice groups.
  • Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, allied health professional teams and share offices with other MDT members.
  • Work on Highland Children’s Unit and Neonate Unit in Raigmore Hospital, requiring on site presence.
  • Support working groups such as CPD, staff support and CAMHS website development.
  • Assist with unique experience working alongside the Child Healthy Weight Service.

Additional Information for Candidates

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be adjusted on a pro ratio basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
