Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Manger to oversee leadership, development and management for community nursing teams and Davidson ward, Girvan community Hospital during a 12 month fixed term period. Davidson ward at Girvan community hospital consists of 20 inpatient beds and minor injury department.
Hours and Shift Pattern
36 hours per week.
This post is based on a temporary basis.
Working pattern predominantly Monday-Friday covering community nursing, Carrick area & Girvan Community Hospital.
What you will do
You will accept delegated accountability for the delivery of safe standards of nursing care ensuring effective management of resources, a focus on patient safety, continuous improvement, staff training and development and education and research.
Responsible for District Nursing and developing Primary Care Nursing Service the Clinical Nurse Manager will manage the nursing teams and secure operational delivery of the range of services, ensuring optimum use of available resources in achieving safe standards of direct patient care and reporting professionally to the Associate Nurse Director.
Provide professional and operational leadership to nursing staff, contribute to the clinical governance arrangements and alongside the Senior Nurses provide professional nursing advice to the Senior Manager and other staff groups.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job
- Registered Nurse
- Graduate, Masters Level or have evidence of higher education/equivalent experience
- Demonstration of Management Competencies
- Demonstrate management success
- Demonstrate leadership competencies
- Interpersonal and negotiating skills to deal with a range of challenging situations including interpretation of data and decision making
- Demonstrable continuous professional development
- Demonstrate research and development skills
UK Driving Licence
UK Car licence is essential to this role.
