As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our clinical team, ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the Home Manager, and creating an outstanding environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new opening and help build an exceptional care team from the very beginning.

About the Role

As Clinical Deputy Manager, your gentle touch will put the residents’ care and wellbeing at the heart of everything you do. As Deputy Manager, you will

  • Support with leading the wider team to ensure they are aligned with the Hallmark charter, vision and values
  • Lead care delivery in the home, to ensure continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
  • Ensure the clinical and care team are adhering to the requirements of their codes of conduct
  • Communicate effectively with team members, residents and their families
  • Have an adaptable and flexible approach to the role and nature of a care home environment

About You:

The Deputy Care Home Manager is a motivational and inspirational leader who has the ability to motivate, engage, and exercise leadership throughout the team with an open and relaxed communication style. Naturally, we would expect the Deputy Care Home Manager to achieve a high standard of clinical care by auditing, analysing trends and directing the care team to deliver great results.

A key to success in this role is the ability to communicate easily with CQC, Social Services, and the Safeguarding teams. The ability to implement action plans for improvement and build a reputation of high-quality care delivery for the home.

  • Registered General Nurse with active NMC PIN and strong clinical skills
  • Proven experience of post-qualification Practice in a health and social care setting with older people
  • Previous experience of leading a team (ideally 2 years)
  • Great written and verbal skills for communication and understanding
  • Good IT skills and confidence in computer-based work
