Job Description

Overview

We’re looking for a commercially driven, proactive Client Service Director to join our Leadership Team and unlock growth from our existing network.

About the job

This role isn’t about sitting behind a desk waiting for briefs. It’s about being in the room and spotting strategic opportunities: travelling to meet senior decision-makers, re-engaging past clients, and expanding existing partnerships into meaningful growth for our clients and for us.

You’ll lead the development of our Client Services Team but this role is about commercial growth, not project delivery. Our Account Directors handle the day-to-day. You’re the commercial engine, owning GP growth, developing opportunities to help our clients grow, and supporting New Business to convert warm introductions into broader, higher-value client relationships.

The role

  • Own the annual GP growth target through client reactivation and expansion
  • Reactivate dormant client accounts and convert to active revenue
  • Identify and close upsell opportunities across existing client base
  • Meet quarterly revenue targets aligned with company growth objectives
  • Build C-suite relationships and position MadeBrave as a strategic partner
  • Conduct strategic planning sessions with key client stakeholders
  • Maintain growth pipeline and accurate revenue forecasting
  • Collaborate with New Business on warm introductions and cross-sell opportunities
  • Lead and Develop the Client service division within MadeBrave
  • Coach the ADs on identifying growth opportunities
  • Ensure that the team are delivering to standards of delivery excellence
  • Collaborate with and own the account planning cycle for opportunity identification

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years in client service roles within creative/advertising agencies (Account Director level or above)
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts (£1m+ annual responsibility)
  • Experience leading client service teams (minimum 2-3 direct reports)
  • Strong commercial acumen – you understand GP, margins, profitability, and business cases
  • Consultative selling approach – not transactional
  • Excellent communication skills – comfortable presenting to C-suite stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with ability to identify growth opportunities
  • Leadership experience – you can coach and develop ADs to think commercially
  • Comfortable with international travel (Europe/US client meetings)
  • Track record in financial services, banking, pharma, Retail and B2B sectors preferred

The desirables

  • Public speaking experience
  • A flair for writing about things you’re passionate about
  • A drive to be a creative thought leader in your area of excellence
