Job Description
The Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver position in Coatbridge is a full-time, permanent role paying £17 per hour. This role involves operating a Class 1 vehicle safely, performing scheduled deliveries and collections, and completing daily vehicle checks to meet transport regulations. You will secure loads correctly and maintain safety throughout each journey, alongside accurately finishing delivery documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Class 1 Wagon & Drag vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Carrying out deliveries and collections as scheduled.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport legislation.
- Securing loads correctly and maintaining load safety throughout each journey.
- Accurately completing delivery paperwork and using electronic POD systems where required.
- Providing excellent customer service during deliveries and collections.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and drivers’ hours regulations.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Previous Wagon & Drag experience is essential.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes effectively.
