Job Description
We are currently looking for an Class 1 shunter to do around 3-4 shifts per week for one of our well-established clients in Coatbridge, you will be responsible to shunt containers in the yard, Terberg training will be given if you do not have experience
Main Duties
Vehicle checks must be done prior to each shift
Log any faults and report to Line manager
Coupling and uncoupling the containers
Shunt containers in the yard
You may also need to shunt vehicles from the yard to a depot
Communicates with ground staff, dispatchers, and other personnel to ensure smooth, safe operations.
Operating at low speeds and manoeuvres the vehicle safely
Shift Patterns:
06:00am- start time 8-12 hour shifts
18:00 start time (8-12 hour shifts
22:00 start time 8-12 hour shifts
Pay Rates:
- Days: 15.00per hour
- Nights: 17.00 per hour
- Weekend flat rate 19.00 per hour
- Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 UK Driving License
- CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum of 6 points on license, with no DD,DR or CD endorsements for insurance purposes
