Civil Foreman
Job Description
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of specialist civil engineering works across the Highlands, we are looking to recruit an experienced Civil Foreman to join our client, a well-established, privately owned and expanding contractor.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys being on site, leading from the front, and taking pride in delivering high quality work. You’ll be part of a small, close knit team within a growing business, where your input will genuinely make a difference.
The Role
You will oversee day to day site operations across a range of specialist civil engineering projects. Working closely with the Managing Director and engineers, you’ll ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
- Supervising site teams and subcontractors
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards
- Coordinating works to keep projects on track
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ensuring quality control with strong attention to detail
- Communicating effectively with engineers, management and clients
This is very much a site based role, and you must be prepared to be actively involved in day to day operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong civil engineering background
- Valid SSSTS or SMSTS
- Valid CSCS Card
- Experience as a Foreman or Working Supervisor
- A head for detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Confident leading teams on site
- Practical, hands on approach
- Willingness to work across projects in the Highlands
