Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced SLTs to take on a leadership role within the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service in Forth Valley. You will be supporting the SLT coordinator and the leadership team to implement innovative and sector leading work that seeks to improve outcomes for children with a range of communication needs in Forth Valley.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team lead for a designated team within the service.
  • Support the SLT coordinator and leadership team with strategy and implementation.
  • Take on a clinical remit and deliver services at a universal, targeted, and individualised level across various settings.
  • Build and maintain partnership working with Education and partner agencies.
  • Travel throughout the service delivery area as required.
  • Promote wellbeing, empowerment, and an innovative culture where staff feel safe and can perform at a high level.
  • Communicate effectively and develop partnerships with team members from both SLT and partner agencies.
  • Be a registered member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience in partnership working with Education.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build partnerships.

Benefits

  • Agenda for Change full time working week reduces from 37 to 36 hours per week from 1 April 2026, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate to offset pay.
