Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Sri Lankan and Indian dishes to consistently high standards
- Ensure excellent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with management to design and update seasonal and regional menus
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in traditional recipes and cooking techniques
- Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, and proper storage
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while meeting service demands
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience, specialising in Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of traditional spices, ingredients, and cooking methods
- Strong understanding of authentic presentation styles and flavour balance
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining high culinary and hygiene standards
