Job Description

Case Officer (Low Rise Block Management) – Fixed term until 30/06/2027

Location: Waverley Court, Edinburgh

Salary: £40,501 – £47,639 per annum

Hours: 36 per week

This role is a 12 month contract within the Area Based Regeneration & Shared Repairs service. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of a mixed tenure housing service for Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contact with private owners and tenants during single building assessments and, where required, cladding remediation works under the Housing (Cladding Remediation) (Scotland) Act.
  • Produce and distribute communications and newsletters to keep owners and tenants informed throughout each stage of the process.
  • Assist in securing private owner agreement and delivering common repairs projects to enable investment in mixed tenure blocks where the Council holds a co owner/landlord interest.
  • Support the surveying team in delivering large scale housing investment and common repairs projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in case management, customer service, IT systems operation and administration.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work with stakeholders to develop innovative approaches to investment in mixed tenure blocks.
  • Commitment to delivering large scale housing investment programmes.
