What you will do:



  • Manage the daily operation of the residential care home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and nurturing care to children and young people.

  • Provide leadership, supervision, performance management, and professional development support to residential care staff.

  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding arrangements are implemented and regularly reviewed.

  • Promote positive relationships with children, families, social workers, schools, health services, and other partner agencies.


Qualifications:



  • SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.

  • Management qualification such as SVQ Level 4 Leadership and Management for Care Services, or willingness to achieve.

  • Relevant professional qualification in Social Work, Social Care, or Childhood Practice is desirable.


Registration & Compliance:



  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or eligibility to register.


Experience:



  • Significant experience working within residential childcare or children’s social care services.

  • Proven experience managing staff within a regulated care setting.
