Job Description

Chef & Cook – Care Homes, Fife

Location: Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Leven, Falkland, Auchtertool and surrounding areas.

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour. Hours: Flexible, 20+ hours per week preferred.

We are recruiting chefs and cooks to prepare nutritious meals, cater for different dietary needs, maintain excellent food hygiene standards, and create enjoyable mealtimes that residents look forward to. Home baking skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily meals for residents.
  • Adapt meals to meet dietary requirements.
  • Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support kitchen staff and foster positive relationships with residents and team.
  • Contribute to a supportive kitchen environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or hospitality, ideally in a care or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and health related nutritional needs.
  • Strong attention to hygiene and food safety.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to resident needs.
