Canteen Assistant
We are looking to recruit a Canteen Assistant who will be responsible for preparing hot & cold food at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, Blairlinn.
Pay, working hours & benefits
We’ll be working 20 hours a week over 3 days, with shifts from 20:00 to 03:00. The pay is £14.85 per hour.
Duties
- Food preparation tasks;
- Cooking and counter serving of meals;
- Receiving and moving of deliveries to kitchen storage;
- Replenishment of fridges;
- Cleaning of kitchen utensils, appliances and surfaces.
About You
This is a busy canteen, so the ability to work under pressure without supervision is essential. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and possess general numeracy and literacy skills.
Food hygiene is very important; a basic food hygiene qualification would be desirable, as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety.
