Job Description
Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a Calibration Technician to their team on a permanent basis in South Aberdeen.
Hours Monday – Thursday 7am – 3pm, Friday 7am – 1pm
Salary: Depending on experience
Daily Duties –
- Schedule calibration of inspection, test, and measuring equipment
- Compile and manage calibration records and update logs
- Manage external calibration requirements and review external certificates
- Order and source new equipment when required
- Maintain identification and traceability on inspection, test, and measuring equipment ensuring expiry dates are clear and concise
- Assist Inspection team when there are busy periods / holiday cover
- Manage gauges on hire or loan and
- Control and calibrate licensee gauges and manage gauges on hire or loan
Candidate Requirements –
- HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline or relevant experience
- Background within an inspection environment within a machine shop
- Experience in the operation and the use of calibration tools and mechanisms
