Café Assistant (Volunteer)
Job Description
The Haven Centre is looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support our café, which sits at the heart of the centre and provides a welcoming space for families, visitors and the wider community. By giving your time as a volunteer, you will be helping to create a warm, inclusive environment for children, young people and adults with additional support needs, as well as their families.
What you will be doing
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the café
- Helping with preparing and serving food and drinks
- Keeping the café clean, tidy and welcoming
- Chatting with visitors and helping people feel comfortable in the space
- Assisting staff during busy periods and events
What we are looking for
- Friendly and approachable personality
- Reliable and willing to help as part of a team
- An interest in supporting the local community
- No previous experience needed, just a positive attitude
