Business Manager (Secondary) – Castlebrae Community High School

Salary: £47,639 – £56,392

Hours: 36 per week

Overview

A highly skilled, motivated and experienced Business Manager is needed to join the Senior Leadership Team. Previous experience in a school setting is not essential, but finance, budget, HR, health and safety and people management skills are key.

The Business Manager will work closely with the headteacher and be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of effective services including finance, human resources, health and safety, facilities management and administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor finance services and budgets.
  • Manage human resources functions including staff recruitment, performance management.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across the school.
  • Oversee facilities management and administration.
  • Line manage all support staff (administration team, school and pupil support assistants, pupil support officers and technicians).
  • Provide strategic support to the senior leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in managing finance, budgets, health and safety and people through HR processes.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in line management of staff.
  • Previous experience in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.
