About the role

We are recruiting two experienced Immigration Associates to be based in one of our key UK offices: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester or Sheffield. The positions are for an Associate (2-6 PQE) and a Senior Associate (6 PQE+). You will advise commercial clients, including FTSE 100 companies and household names, within a supportive environment. You will work with a specialist immigration partner, as part of a highly ranked Employment group of over 50 lawyers in the UK. The role is fast paced and offers a wide variety of business immigration matters, covering the full spectrum from day to day advice to strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to day immigration advice
  • Sponsor licence applications and compliance duties
  • Visa eligibility assessments
  • Business visa support and advice
  • Guidance on prevention of illegal working and related enforcement action
  • Corporate and commercial transaction support
  • Global mobility / international assignment support
  • Immigration advice linked to employment and HR issues
  • Strategic projects, e.g. compliance with new legal requirements and audits
  • Business development activities
  • Training to clients

About you

You are an Immigration Associate or Senior Associate with strong ambition to further develop our successful, dynamic and highly collaborative team. You are well organised, proactive and personable, with excellent written and oral communication skills. You keep abreast of regular changes in UK immigration law. A strong academic record and enthusiasm are essential, and you are ready to hit the ground running.
