Job Description
Search are supporting the recruitment of a Business Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis to join our client’s Edinburgh office with hybrid working. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role would be well suited to a proactive and analytical professional with a background in business analysis and an interest in improving operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be confident working across departments, translating business needs into practical solutions and driving change through technology and process improvement. A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and refine business and functional requirements from stakeholders
Analyse current operational processes to identify areas for improvement
Develop and document recommendations for process optimisation, leveraging technology where appropriate
Lead the implementation of approved changes, including project coordination, user testing, and training
Act as a liaison between legal teams, IT, and other business units
Manage projects when required, including planning, budgeting, risk management and stakeholder engagement
Provide ongoing support and training to users affected by system and process changes
Maintain accurate documentation of systems and business processes
Skills and experience you’ll ideally have:
Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in professional services setting
Strong understanding of business analysis techniques including requirements gathering and process mapping
Experience implementing change and managing projects
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and MS Teams
Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies
Degree in Business, Law, IT or a related field
Business Analysis or Project Management certification
