Our client, a leading consultancy in the rail and highways sector, is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a temp to perm contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and assessing various bridge structures using industry-standard software, such as Lusas
- Conducting structural analyses and evaluations to ensure the safety and integrity of bridge projects
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering aspects into rail and highway projects
- Preparing detailed engineering reports and technical documents
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Participating in site inspections and providing technical support during project implementation
- Contributing to the development of innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Maintaining and enhancing client relationships through effective communication and project management
Job Requirements:
- Experience in bridge and structural engineering within the rail and highways sectors
- Proficiency in using Lusas for structural analysis and design
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective team collaboration and communication abilities
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
