We are recruiting a Branch Assistant on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation operating a local branch and warehouse network across the UK.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting branch operations, warehouse activity and customer service. Due to travel between sites for on-site inventory and stock takes, a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

The Role

As a Branch Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the local branch, combining customer interaction with practical warehouse and stock responsibilities. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a reliable, high-quality local service.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Assisting with warehouse operations, including stock control and stock accuracy
  • Supporting on-site inventory counts and stock takes at other sites
  • Travelling between branch and customer locations as required
  • Helping to manage local orders, deliveries and returns
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment
  • Representing the business positively and building strong working relationships

What We’re Looking For

  • Customer-facing experience from a non-retail background (e.g. operations, logistics, administration or support roles)
  • Warehouse or stock-related experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Willingness to learn and take on a varied role

Why Apply?

  • Stable Monday-Friday working hours
  • A varied role offering both customer and operational experience
  • Opportunity to build experience in branch, warehouse and field environments
  • Supportive team setting with long-term potential
