About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions across commercial and industrial environments.

You’ll play a key role in commissioning, optimising, and troubleshooting BMS systems-ensuring performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a best-in-class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Conduct site inspections and system assessments (HVAC, lighting, controls)
  • Define project scope and requirements with clients and project managers
  • Develop and initiate commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
  • Configure and programme BMS hardware and software (controllers, sensors, interfaces)
  • Perform functional testing and validate system performance
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and post-installation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimise system performance
  • Provide training and support to end users
  • Produce commissioning documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and BMS capabilities

About You

  • 3+ years’ experience in BMS commissioning and troubleshooting (commercial and/or industrial)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control strategies
  • Experience with Trend, Schneider, Tridium or Sigma systems (preferred)
  • Proficient in configuring and programming BEMS components
  • Familiar with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to project delivery
  • Team-focused with a collaborative mindset
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence
