About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality building automation and energy management solutions across commercial and industrial environments.
You’ll play a key role in commissioning, optimising, and troubleshooting BMS systems-ensuring performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a best-in-class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Conduct site inspections and system assessments (HVAC, lighting, controls)
- Define project scope and requirements with clients and project managers
- Develop and initiate commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
- Configure and programme BMS hardware and software (controllers, sensors, interfaces)
- Perform functional testing and validate system performance
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and post-installation
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimise system performance
- Provide training and support to end users
- Produce commissioning documentation, reports, and as-built drawings
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and BMS capabilities
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in BMS commissioning and troubleshooting (commercial and/or industrial)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control strategies
- Experience with Trend, Schneider, Tridium or Sigma systems (preferred)
- Proficient in configuring and programming BEMS components
- Familiar with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to project delivery
- Team-focused with a collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence
