Role Overview
Situated in the East Caithness Health and Social Care Integrated Team at Pulteney House, Wick, this bank position offers the chance to be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with patients in their own homes to provide holistic care. The primary responsibility is to support and assist service users in maximising and maintaining their independence. Flexibility, initiative and a commitment to high standard patient care are essential.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide high quality patient care in partnership with the team, ensuring the delivery of a high quality service to the local community.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience is not required, although it is beneficial. Full training will be provided and the applicant will have the opportunity to complete an SVQ in Health & Social Care.
Driving licence essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes. A pool vehicle is available for rural areas.
Work Hours & Bank Posts
These are bank posts. Set shifts available are:
- 07:00 – 11:00
- 07:00 – 14:00
- 09:00 – 13:00
- 11:00 – 14:00
- 16:00 – 21:00
- 17:00 – 22:00
- or as per service requirements
Effective from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be adjusted on a pro rata basis, with an increase in the hourly rate to keep pay unaffected.
Visa and Sponsorship
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
