Job Description

Salary: £48,000 – 88,000 per year

Requirements

  • Around 4 years of commercial experience in backend development
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
  • Familiarity with message queues (SQS, SNS)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong understanding of version control (Git, Gitlab)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes
  • Database management skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Testing skills using Mocha and Sinon
  • Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced and agile environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure backend services
  • Contribute to the development of a large-scale, cloud-based SaaS platform
  • Work closely with engineers, product, and wider teams to deliver high-quality features
  • Take ownership of technical challenges and proactively solve problems
  • Support continuous improvements across systems and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
