A growing accountancy practice in Dundee is looking to recruit an experienced Audit Senior to support the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services across a varied client portfolio.

This role is ideal for a practice-trained auditor who enjoys leading audits, working directly with clients and supporting the development of junior team members. You’ll work closely with Managers and Partners, gaining exposure to a wide range of sectors and audit assignments, with clear scope for progression within public practice.

The Role – Audit Senior

As Audit Senior, you’ll take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion while supporting audit quality and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading external audit assignments from planning to completion
  • Preparing and reviewing audit files in line with UK auditing standards
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site for audit clients
  • Supervising and supporting junior audit team members
  • Assisting with statutory accounts preparation where required
  • Managing deadlines and ensuring audits are delivered efficiently
  • Supporting Managers with workflow and client delivery
  • Maintaining high technical and compliance standards

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice
  • Have a strong background in external audit
  • Be confident leading audits and supervising team members
  • Have strong communication and client facing skills
  • Be organised, reliable and deadline focused
  • Be keen to progress your career within audit
