Associate Director – Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) Edinburgh or Glasgow £58,000-£64,750

An employee owned environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead and grow its Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) service across Scotland. This is a leadership role focused on service development, client management, team leadership, and construction-phase environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the EnvCoW service across Scotland.
  • Develop client relationships and support business growth.
  • Manage and mentor EnvCoW professionals.
  • Provide technical oversight on environmental compliance, licensing, and risk management.
  • Support major infrastructure, energy, transport, and utilities projects.

Requirements

  • Extensive EnvCoW or construction-phase environmental management experience.
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance and risk management.
  • Experience leading projects, managing budgets, and developing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and commercial awareness.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Full UK driving licence.
