Turning Point Scotland Services in Angus – Forfar are looking for people like you to help provide individualized support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others as part of a team.
We provide support in people’s own homes, fostering independence and choice through daily opportunities, education, employment/volunteering and social activities. We also support development of relationships, maintenance of a home, and partner with health, social work, community justice, police and advocacy teams.
We are looking for an Assistant Service Co ordinator who will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve personal outcomes across safety, activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health, wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
- Individualised support and care of service users;
- Work 1:1 or within a team providing compassionate support;
- Support service users to engage in education, employment, volunteering and social activities;
- Facilitate development of relationships and maintenance of home; and
- Co operate with health, social work and advocacy teams.
Key qualifications and requirements:
- UK resident, eligible to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship available);
- IT skills required for all roles;
- Registration with the SSSC within six months of start date, where applicable;
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle;
- Experience/skills in personal care, cooking and housekeeping;
- Engagement with service users throughout the process.
