Assistant Manager – Risk Science
Salary: £53,073 – £58,970 • Location: Edinburgh or Leeds • Hours: Full-time • Working Pattern: Hybrid (at least two days a week, or 40% of time at office)
What you’ll be doing
- Support all stages of model monitoring, from maintaining existing monitoring to developing new monitoring solutions for newly developed models.
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Carry out analysis and provide data insights to stakeholders across Risk.
- Build and maintain Model Monitoring packs for commercial banking customers.
- Use SAS, SQL, and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Work with Risk and Finance business partners to agree objectives of analytical projects and ensure regulatory and business requirements are met.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including governance and implementation teams, to deliver effective analytical solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree, preferably in a numerate/statistical discipline.
- Experience delivering predictive analytics in a regulatory or credit risk setting.
- Understanding of statistical modelling and interest in developing models such as regression or decision trees.
- Proficiency in a coding language-Python and SAS.
- Relevant transferable experience is encouraged.
