Join our team as an Assistant Lecturer in Paramedic Science and work with us to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals at Queen Margaret University. This rewarding role allows you to design, assess, and deliver teaching in Paramedic Science, while also providing you with the opportunity to contribute to other programmes across the Nursing & Paramedic Science Division. In this role, you will have access to a wide collaborative network, with opportunities to work alongside local NHS partners, SAS and Allied Health Professional Colleagues.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Teaching Delivery: Plan, assess, and teach undergraduate Paramedic Science courses.
- Supporting the Division: Contribute your teaching expertise to programmes across the Division.
- Fostering Partnerships: Collaborate with a range of partners including SAS local healthcare boards.
Candidate Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- A flair for communication: The ability to bring the subject to life for our students.
- A values-driven approach: A strong alignment with a person-centred philosophy in teaching and working.
- Subject expertise: Academic and practical knowledge and expertise in Paramedic Science. This post is suitable for newly qualified paramedics.
- Excellent teamworking skills: The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of colleagues, stakeholders and external partners.
