Assistant Buyer 5-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Stirling
Contract Type: Fixed Term (5 months)
Hours: Full-time

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional looking to build on your procurement experience? We re currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a well-established and reputable construction business on a fixed-term contract covering a period of leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced buying environment, supporting key projects and working alongside an experienced team.

What you ll be doing:

  • Supporting the procurement team with the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services

  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate prices, lead times, and ensure on-time deliveries

  • Managing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records

  • Assisting with cost control, invoice reconciliation, and reporting

  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

What we re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a buying, procurement, or supply chain role (construction industry experience is desirable but not essential)

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

  • A team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
