Assistant Accountant / Part-Qualified Accountant (5-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 5-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Glasgow City Centre (Hybrid / Remote Working Available)

About the Organisation

A global organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a fixed-term basis during a particularly busy period. This role is well suited to a finance professional who enjoys a hands on position, thrives in a fast paced environment and is confident managing both transactional finance responsibilities and month end support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing day to day transactional finance activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
• Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions
• Performing bank reconciliations and supporting cash management activities
• Assisting with month end processes and financial reporting
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts
• Producing, analysing, and maintaining reports using Excel
• Assisting with finance projects and ad hoc analysis as required
• Ensuring financial data is accurate and up to date
• Supporting the wider finance team to meet reporting deadlines

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience managing high volume transactional workloads
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• A proactive, hands on approach to work
• Part qualified accountancy studies would be advantageous but are not essential
