Apprentice Plumber
Fixed Term: Four years for the length of the apprenticeship course.
Location: Link’s Falkirk office (travel required throughout Central Scotland, including Glasgow and Edinburgh).
Hours: 39 per week, Monday to Friday.
The Role
At C-urb, part of Link, we value our people. We are looking for an Apprentice Plumber to join the Property Maintenance team. The Apprentice Plumber will work in the In House Trades team to deliver a high quality service to Link’s tenants.
The role involves:
- Working under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, carrying out all aspects of plumbing work on refurbishments and reactive maintenance in Link’s properties.
- Assisting tradespersons with general plumbing work, including new installations and repairs.
- Learning to understand drawings and work in accordance with specifications.
- Assisting with routine checking and testing of all types of plumbing systems, locating and repairing faults.
- Developing skills in Gas servicing and repairs and supporting the Gas install teams.
- Demonstrating commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect for property, maintaining expected standards of work and ensuring workspace is kept tidy.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is willing to undertake the industry approved pre employment assessment if selected for interview.
- Has a minimum of four National qualifications (or equivalent) – National 4 or National 5.
- Is committed to completing the required practical and academic training of the apprenticeship.
- Can understand and follow instructions, perform manual duties and work effectively within a team.
- Is eager to learn new skills, possesses good time management and strong communication skills.
