Job Description
Reporting to the Airside Support Unit Team Manager, the Airside Support Unit Operative is responsible for providing a great service, by providing an efficient coaching operation to all airport users, as well as working interactively with the Duty Team.
The ASU Operative role follows a fully flexible roster pattern, and we are currently recruiting for a role on a 24 hour contract. Shifts are issued three weeks in advance and follow a base pattern; however, there may be two or more fully flexible moves made within any week. Further information about the shifts can be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
- Potentially drive the multiple vehicles within our fleet including coaches, sweepers, trolley vehicles and winter operations vehicles
- Carry out airside/landside sweeping to meet H&S and CAA Requirements
- Ensure SLA, SOP’s, CEN, CED and TBT are read and understood
- Carry out snow clearing duties during winter operations
- Be able to act on own initiative and prioritise work; monitor and liaise with ground handling agents and other airport users to provide an efficient coaching operation.
- Assist when required with allocation of coaching, sweeping etc., as and when required, with the aid of the IT systems in place
Qualifications & Requirements
- Obtain a Counter Terrorist Check; must have been living in the UK for the last three consecutive years
- Must be able to work shifts as the operation is open 365 days per year and runs 24 hours a day
- Full UK driving licence, with CAT C and CAT D licences; CAT C+E desirable and may be required to obtain if successful
- Pass an Airside Driving Medical prior to commencing; arranged by Occupational Health following provisional offer of employment

- Hold a current Certificate of Professional Competence
