Job Description

Qualified Actuarial Consultants – Non-Life Reserving

Base Location: London, Manchester, and Edinburgh plus a network of 20 offices nationally.

What will you need to do it?

• The successful candidate is expected to be newly or near qualified.
• Degree in a numerate discipline; actuarial qualification preferred.
• Proven track record in analytical or pricing leadership with experience in the London Market.
• Innovative and entrepreneurial with the ability to bring clarity and structure to challenges that have not yet been solved.
• Excellent technical and modelling skills, with proficiency in pricing tools, large data analysis and portfolio management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to audiences without technical backgrounds.
• Solid understanding of London Market business.

Technical & Functional

• 3 years+ experience in pricing for London Market insurance.
• Strong understanding of actuarial modelling and pricing using Hx Renew.
• Proven experience in pricing model or technology transformation programmes.
• Familiarity with underwriting processes and data requirements.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to pricing governance.

Leadership & Delivery

• Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills – capable of simplifying complex issues for executive and non technical audiences.
• Highly organised, disciplined, and delivery focused.

Skills we’d love to see / Amazing Extras

• Previous experience gained within a consultancy, or within the General Insurance industry, with ability to support senior management in cultivating and maintaining client relationships, including assisting with proposals and sales materials.
