Overview

Accounts Assistant (6 Month Fixed Term Contract) – Polish speaker – Glasgow

We are supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a six month fixed term contract. This role suits someone from a finance background with strong Excel skills, who is comfortable working with large datasets and operating independently in a project based environment.

The role requires on site working two days per week, and candidates must have access to their own transport. The client has free parking on site.

Contract Details

  • Contract: six month fixed term contract
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro rated for 6 months)
  • Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

  • Collating and processing large volumes of financial data from multiple sources and formats
  • Reviewing multi year financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Cleansing datasets, including removing duplicates and identifying inconsistencies
  • Highlighting historical calculation errors and carried forward inaccuracies
  • Supporting a wider finance systems transition project across international territories
  • Working closely with internal finance stakeholders to ensure data integrity
  • Maintaining clear audit trails and documentation

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a finance, accounts assistant, or similar finance role
  • Fluent Polish language skills (spoken and written) – essential
  • Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and reconciliation work
  • High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a project driven environment
  • Access to own transport due to office location and hybrid working requirement
