Role: Accounts Assistant
Part-Time or Full-Time, 3-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with strong potential for permanent employment
Location: Edinburgh – City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

Amplifi Talent are delighted to be working once again with a leading business in the city centre of Edinburgh. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring you to be in the office for 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder. The position is initially for a 3-month fixed term, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team


  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Desirable, but not essential

  • AAT qualification or working towards it
  • Experience with accounting software Sage Intacct.
